Jonathan Walsh
Jonathan is an attorney at the law firm of Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles, LLP. He specializes in defending catastrophic personal injury cases and merchant liability claims. His clients include national retailers, energy services companies and local businesses. Jonathan graduated from Tulane Univsersity School of Law in 1998 with a Maritime Law certificate and interned at the Center for Seafarers' Rights.
Jonathan was born in Westfield, New Jersey, and attended undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Notre Dame, where he earned Bachelor's and Master of Arts degrees in French Literature. He spent his sophomore year in Angers, France, played two seasons of interhall football at left tackle for Morrissey Manor, his residence hall, and won the championship in 1993. He is an active member of the Notre Dame New Orleans Alumni Club.
Jonathan served his country in the United States Coast Guard (Reserve) and was honorably discharged in 2011 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. From 2000 to 2006, he held leadership positions at Port Security Unit 308 in Gulfport, MS, and deployed to Kuwait from 2003 to 2004 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also performed anti-terrorism operations in Mobile, AL, for SAILMOBILE 200 and hurricane relief operations for Hurricanes Katrina and Ike. His personal awards include the Coast Guard Commendation Medal with operational distinguishing device, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Coast Guard Achievement Medal and multiple Commandant's Letters of Commendation.
Jonathan married Cathryn Cassibry of New Orleans in 2002 and they have one daughter, Claire
